Mayflower Artist Rachel Carter
Spirit of Mayflower artist Rachel Carter crossed the Atlantic on a cargo ship to understand something of the pilgrims’ experience from 400 years ago. She spent time as an artist in residence at Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum before returning to England and creating the Pilgrim Woman statue through a community project in the Pilgrim Roots region.
